Christmas.  It’s a magical time of year.  A season to believe and a time for traditions, new and old.  My absolute favorite tradition is Christmas cards.  I know what you’re thinking, and no, it is not a dead tradition.  I remember my mom writing personal Christmas cards each year.  She would snuggle in with a blanket, all her cards, envelopes, stamps and a pen and get into her quiet place before sharing some of our family news, and loving and encouraging family and friends with her words.  (Thanks, mom, for passing on that tradition to me.)

Each year we start our Christmas card tradition when we unpack the Holiday house decor.  Tucked inside near the bright and shiney baubles are the previous years’ cards from all our friends and family.  I especially love to see the photos that were included and seeing how each family has grown and evolved over the years.  We try to always have family photos done and include a family update of our changes over the past year.

I was running a bit behind (as is this post), but here is what we came up with;  This year we went for the front and back flat photo card.  A family update card insert, and super awesome wrap-around return address labels… all of which coordinates, of course!
